DUI/DUII Diversions
Oregon has tough laws against drunk driving. However, there are many ways that an experienced criminal defense attorney can defend your rights and seek a positive outcome in your case.
One such way is through a diversion agreement. Depending on the facts of your case, a diversion agreement may be available that would allow you to avoid a criminal conviction. In a DUII diversion agreement, you agree to abide by the terms of the agreement and remain law-abiding during the period of the agreement. You agree to be evaluated and to go through an alcohol treatment program. At the end of the year (or the period agreed upon), your case is dismissed.
